CADETS Taekwon-Do (from 10 years)

Our Cadets Taekwon-Do is a step up from our kids class in its intensity and the way it is taught. Specifically designed to challenge Children and Teenagers of this age range our Cadets class ensures the students give a higher level of focus in every session. Learning more details in the techniques being taught and then also learning more complex kicks.


The children will begin their journey on muscle and strength development here as well as creating the dynamism for the fast kicks that Taekwon-Do is so famous for.


As well as learning self-defence moves appropriate for their age range the students will learn the technical moves required to reach each level progressively. This is all taught with motivation in a way that the students can benefit from our professional attitude and positive role models.


The Cadets also learn about the five tenets of Taekwon-Do: Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control and Indomitable Spirit and how developing these areas of their lives can have a positive impact on issues and situations they are going through as they grow.


As their Taekwon-Do skills develop the Cadets have the opportunity, if they wish, to take part in competitions to test their skills, these are always great fun and adds another dimension to their training with many Cadets winning medals in our events and going on to do very well competitively.


We run gradings 3 times a year, however the Cadets will only be put forwards for a grading when the instructor believes they are ready. This comes down to the effort they put into training and the extra work they choose to put in at home. Cadets can train up to 2 times a week in our sessions, especially if they are very keen and want to reach a high level.


Our Cadets classes continue throughout the year with just a short break in the summer and over the Christmas period.
